Engaged during Covid-19?

if you’re one of the ones who’s just got engaged (perhaps even during lockdown!) and you now find yourself twiddling your thumbs with not a lot to do and you’ve binged every Netflix series there is to watch, now is the time to put your wedding planning productivity up a gear! To use this time as an opportunity to get ahead, plan your wedding and more importantly getting it right!

GET ORGANISED

Did you know that the average UK wedding takes over 200 hours to plan? If you’re stuck at home with plenty of time on your hands, get organized. Designate a day to wedding planning, whether that’s writing checklists, researching suppliers or appointing roles to members of your bridal party. Get on track and make sure everything is in place!

VENUES & SUPPLIERS

With thousands of postponements across the country, venues and suppliers will be booked more in advance than ever, so if you’re not that far ahead into your planning journey i do suggest you begin enquiring with potential wedding professionals. Many Venues are currently offering virtual showarounds, so you can view your chosen venue from the comfort of your own home and decide which one appeals to you both.

If you have already booked some of your suppliers, check in and offer your support during this difficult time. The personal note will be hugely appreciated.

The main thing to remember when planning your wedding during lockdown is that it’s completely normal and okay to feel overwhelmed and stressed, and that everyone is in the same boat. Try to see it as an opportunity to tackle the planning bits and pieces you wouldn’t have been able to otherwise. Planning your big day during quarantine can still be fun, and you have a wonderful wedding day to look forward to at the end of it.

I hope all of this helps even just a little bit!
